Maddie Maniaci Tattoos
Aftercare
Once your tattoo has been finished you will be wrapped with Saniderm (unless otherwise requested or specified)

Here are some tips to make your healing process as easy as possible
1
Keep the covering on for 3-5 days
You may notice a build up of fluid, this is normal!
Do not poke or try to drain the liquid, if the bandage starts to come off or leak at any point take it off.
If the tattoo is exposed or liquid can get out, that means bacteria can get in.
2
Take your covering off
Take your covering off in the shower under warm running water
- Do not rip off the bandage dry!
Once the covering is off gently wash the tattoo with a unscented soft soap
Pat the tattoo dry and then let your tattoo fully dry out
3
Moisturize
Once your tattoo has dried out you can moisturize it 1-2 times daily (always with a unscented moisturizer)
- You don't need a lot of moisturizer remember a little goes a long way, be careful not to over moisturize!
- When your tattoo is healing you will notice flaking on your tattoo (kinda like a sunburn) during this time your skin will become tight, itchy and dry. Moisturizing will help with this
- Always apply lotion with clean washed hands
4
During the healing process
During the healing process (usually 2-6 weeks) try your best to avoid:
- Sun exposure (always use sunscreen outside)
- Soaking or submerging your tattoo, this means no hot tubs, baths, or swimming of any kind
- Picking or itching the tattoo
